Their first time viewing Star Wars. They were riveted. We have them hooked.
I was a little worried that we should have started with Episode I though. What do you think?

11 people like me!:
I think that the "classics" should be seen first. I know that it doesn't really fit with the story line, but I think that the story is better, and it is classic cinematography.
BTW, I added you to my NaBloPoMo blogroll. I am a participant too. I look forward to reading more.
Oh, I don't think it matters where you start. My son is hooked too!
How fun ! I bet they are hooked now.
I think you were right to stick with the classics. Quite honestly I would rather pretend that the prequels were never even made, I hate them that much.
To me, this IS episode 1. This is what's important. If they saw the newer releases first they could resist the older special effects. Gotta stick with the classic!
Check out my WW Post-Puppy Love
Because I'm rather particular, I would try to start with the 'classic' films, but seriously, my kids watched whichever aired the first time they came through the room, and it was on like Donkey Kong. They got sucked into the Star Wars thing, big tim!
Hmmm... the anal retentive side of me is screaming "You HAVE to watch them in order!" and the movie lover in me is yelling, "You've gotta start with the classics!". Either way, I'm shouting at you, so my advice is to tell you to let them do what they want... in my inside voice.;)
Way to start 'em young! :)
The rest of us started with episode 4, so don't worry!
Wow, I think we may have the same exact entertainment center.
My son's favorite Star Wars movie is actually "Space Balls." He's just not into the real Star Wars thing.
My husband cannot wait to show the kids star wars!!!! hehehe
