Just a quick note

I am supposed to sing with my daughter and the rest of the cherub choir (and their moms) on Mother's Day. We practiced for the first time tonight.

This raises questions about my ability to do this without bawling. Especially when the kids sing the first verse about how great a mother's love is.

Then they expect me to sing.

A pregnant, hormonal, emotional me.

Who tears up when just her daughter sings in church. Even when I'm not pregnant.

This should be quite a spectacle.

I wouldn't be able to do it without leaky eyes - it's a fact. Good Luck Heather - I'm sure you can do it ;)

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!!!

I sang a song from Wicked in a chorus with one of my sons over a year ago. For Good is all about how the singer is changed for the better because she knew the other person. During various practices (he was barely 6 at the time) he would be bored, unable to sit in his chair and crawling on the floor. I would watch him and start crying thinking how lucky I was.

Ain't nothing to do with being pregnant. You's a mama darling. Good luck in the performance. It is just wonderful that you are doing it.

Knowing you pretty well, I'm sure the tears will flow before the first note hits the parishioners' ears.

:)

But that's okay...it will make the performance all the more sweet. Just be sure to have some tissue handy.
