It finally occurred to me why I really hate autumn. There are things that I love, the beautiful colors of the leaves on the trees, the smell of dirt and crisp, clean air, getting out clothes that you love and missed wearing (provided they still fit...argh), eating comforting soups, no heat rash. Okay, there are many good things about fall. I can admit that.
BUT. The reason I hate fall around here? It is the critter season. It's the season the animals that should stay outside try (and often succeed) to infiltrate our home. Namely bats and mice. **shudders** No, really. **SHUDDERS** And again. **SHUDDERS**
Why can't they just stay outside where they are supposed to stay?
None yet this year (knock on my big fat wooden head) but I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

I don't love fall because I know it is followed by winter :(
