Can't I Just Put Bricks on Their Heads?

We had Ms. D's birthday party last weekend. Her birthday is actually this Saturday (the 22nd) but some of our family had to be out of town this weekend so we celebrated early. Even so, it hasn't really hit me yet that the Baby, the Toddler, don't-tell-me-she's-going-to-be-a-preschooler-next-year-already. La la la la la **fingers in ears**

I am told at least once a month that she looks like oh what's that show with those little girls who were twins? You remember that one? I can't think of the name of it!

Full House?

Yeah! That's it!

I'm not sure that she really looks like they did as toddlers...didn't they have red hair? Maybe I'm not remembering correctly. Anyway, this is a tangent.

How is it possible that she is almost two years old already? And, on that same order, how does it happen that I have an almost 8-year-old and an almost 6-year-old? Seriously, I want to know!

I look around the house and see photos of the kids. I haven't updated in a while. The frame that holds 8x10s of the kids? Ms. D is frozen at 9 months old. M and K have their fall school photos. I chose to fore go the Spring (rip-off-super-expensive) photos at school this year. I felt the pressure and ignored it. I guess. What is the purpose of 2x a year photos at school?

I'm not ready for this. There is way too much growing up going on around here.

Before the summer ends, I will have a 13 year old child. Thirteen years old!! He comes home from school every day and I swear, he's taller than when he left in the morning, and his voice is a little deeper, and all I can see is how fast this time has flown past me.

I'm going to spend the next couple months scouring the Internet for plans on a time-freezing machine!

I'm with you on the bricks. Wonder if it'll work. ;) And, she does kind of resemble the Full House girls.

I want to freeze time. Yet I am excited at the prospects ahead. It is an odd thing being a parent in our time.

Happy birthday wishes!

Same here... well not all of it but the youngest will be 2 in a few weeks and I'm wondering where did the last two years go... I refuse to believe that Wee Man will be 6 in a few weeks also and starting 1st grade!
Atleast you have the frozen in time photos to look back at..
