First of 2nd Aweigh Results Show...Prize Included!

Soooooo. How did YOU do?


I did not do so well. I haven't weighed yet. I'll weigh later in the day and post my results BUT my disclaimer is that I did everything right the first day and gained 3 lbs. WTF? Seriously. Way to be supportive, Body.


I started out on the Wii Fit Plus for 49 minutes which was really the first time I'd "exercised" in months. The next day my body hated me...abs, back, legs hurt but I went back for punishment the next day. I only had about 10 minutes to devote before other obligations forced me to quit. But I did it. I've done some running with the Wii Fit Plus...not as much as I used to do but I'm just starting again. I have high hopes to actually run outside in the Spring and not want to die within minutes or seconds.


I'm doing what I can... I think. I probably could do more with regard to exercising, but I'm not willing to get up early in the morning. Perhaps gradually I can change my habits so that I can get up earlier than my kids. My goal for next week is to exersize more even if it is just on the Wii Fit stuff. Anything is better than sitting on my butt doing nothing right?


I"m first up for the prize this week. I have no photo but I don't think one is necessary. My prize is a $25 gift card for Starbucks. Before you tell me I've exceeded my own limit, let me tell you I found this gift card in a box of junk that I went through a few weeks ago and I was given it for a review I wrote. Soooo, pass it on!

But you're moving again and that's a good thing! That's also what I'm telling myself. I've been a bit too sedentary for too long and really decided that this week, I had to stop that, so I've been slowly easing my way back. Not to the level where I used to - and where I hope to get back to - but baby steps lead to giant steps. I have to keep telling myself that!

I worked out with the Wii Fit Plus last night for the first time. After a bit of a meltdown evening of single parenting, I was WAY into the boxing! Ha! Also did some of the balance work. I can definitely tell that injuring my foot and leg a year ago really has impacted that in a big way. I have a long way to go to get my body back in balance. Let's just say I was SHOCKED at my Wii Fit age!

Anyway, long story short, we're trying and that is what we need to tell ourselves every day. Little moments lead to bigger ones.

Well done on starting to exercise again. Logic tells us if you are doing it right and being consistent you will lose weight. Keep with it. Mich x

Okay, I weighed and I lost 1 pound! Better than gaining that's for sure.

I weighed in this morning at 160.6. Headed in the right direction. : ) I've worked out on the Wii a few times this week. 1/2 hour Tuesday and 15 min last night. This coming week, I'm aiming for a total of 1.5 hours of exercise. Split however I like.

I also lost 1 pound this week! I walked on our treadmill for 30 minutes twice this week & then did 20 minutes another day. Hopefully I can manage to do it everyday soon!

Ugh on the gaining three pounds. I've had that happen before and heard of so many women having it happen to them too. But, if you keep it up it will reverse. I have my own theory that initial weight loss attempts cause our bodies to think we're under stress, so they go into survival mode and add poundage instead of subtracting. Eventually our bodies get over it and start losing.

It just takes the first step...that is always the hardes for me. I try to rationalize why I can't work out...then I just do it and before I know it, I'm done!

I am so glad you got moving!! That is awesome. It sucks when the numbers do not encourage us :(

ok I cannot be counted this week, 'cause honestly my weight loss was part puking my guts out for 24 hours. I highly do NOT recommend it.

I did however exercise everyday (minus the two days in bed) with wii fit and my treadmill + one swim.

I just hope the 5 lbs I lost this week stays off so I do not see the numbers go up!
