Parking Lot Poem

I try to aim straight,
no chance of hanging over
but it must be fate
that jerks park near.
Not just near but next to.
My nerves it does grate.

I teach my kids no
to swinging doors wildly.
They swear they don't know
that it's hurting anything.
No matter the situation
the cars park goofy wherever we go.

I hear my own whines
that I straighten out while
other cars cross the lines.
Do they think they are just there
as mere suggestions?
I wish there were fines.

You're so funny. I hate parking lots...especially when I have to drive my dad's beastly huge truck. Oh. my. I just end up parking at the very back of the lot because it never fails that every available spot has someone else's tires over the line.
