- Craig and I went out to a Japanese Steakhouse for our anniversary yesterday. The food is so yummy there. I will be dreaming of the fried rice, veggies, and lobster for months.
- Midwest Parents is going to be relaunching October 1st! It's just around the corner and I'm excited to reintroduce the blog. I hope you'll stop by!
- My kids' school conferences are this afternoon. I can't believe it's already the end of the first quarter. These first 9 weeks of school really flew! I'm anxious to hear how the kids are doing. I want them to do well and always feel a little like any problems they are having are all my fault. Being a mother is so wonderful for providing many opportunities to feel guilt.
- I've been watching all these strange shows like I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant, Medical Mysteries and Your Kid Ate What? These shows alternately make me think people are morons and then freak me out because what if that happened to me or my family? Clearly I need to stop watching these shows. Back to HGTV and Property Virgins where I can just be incredulous that people are spending a half a million dollars on their first home.
- The K-Man was chosen Singer of the Week at choir practice last night. I don't know why I get all puffed up proud about that.
- My husband brought me flowers for our anniversary...a dozen red roses! You're jealous, right? Sorry, but he's mine.
- I really need to find the Halloween costumes that I bought on clearance last year. Do you know where I put them?
- FYI--another kid increases your laundry exponentially.
- Psst! I started a new line of products in my etsy shop. I especially like this listing but this other listing is pretty cool too. And I have several more sets made and ready to list soon!
- I found a great floor runner for our bedroom at Target for 75% off. Ridiculously low price and it is going to look great in our new room when it's finished. I'm tempted to hit the other Target tomorrow to see if there are any more over there.
- This cold that I keep thinking I'm getting over? It keeps coming back with a vengeance. I no likey.
- I'm dreaming of warm weather and the beach already. This is going to be a looooong winter.

I need to see if any of the Halloween costumes I've picked up on clearance over the year still feet my kids, who grow like weeds overnight. I wonder if there's a Discovery Health show about that condition!
Sounds like your anniversary was lovely. I can't believe my own is coming up in less than a month. Time really *does* fly! Where's the show about that!?
