I'm the Mom: A Song

I can almost see it
the clothes are clean and
hanging in the closets and
folded in the drawers

Every toy I pick up
every hair I brush has
me wishing for a maid
but I don't have one

But I gotta keep cleaning up
Gotta keep my kids all fed

There's always gonna be another diaper
I'm always gonna wanna get it changed
Coping with yet another tantrum
sometimes I'm gonna have to drink

Ain't about how clean my house is
Ain't about having lots of money
I'm the Mom

The sass I'm getting
the back-talk growing
sometimes might get me down
but I'm not quitting

Too well I know it
that these are the moments that
I'll remember most and
I'm holding them close now

And I, I gotta be Mom
just doing the best I can

'Cause there's always gonna be another diaper
I'm always gonna wanna get it changed
Coping with yet another tantrum
sometimes I'm gonna have to drink

Ain't about how clean my house is
Ain't about having lots of money
I'm the Mom

Give me hugs, give me kisses,
Give me love babies
Just 'cuz I'm your mom, your only mom
give me love, give me love, yeah
