Random Thoughts # 34

  • I actually cleaned a little in my kitchen. I know! Knock you over with a feather! I took out most of the old sippy cups and all the cups that come home from restaurants (and we don't go out to eat very often so how do we get all these cups? Dunno.) and tried to reorganize. The sort-of clean look should last about 2 days.
  • I want our home addition/remodel to be at the point where I get to choose paint colors and lighting fixtures and shelves and all the fun stuff. Sheetrock is not fun. Necessary, but not at all fun.
  • I'm getting ready to sell a lot of baby things, some of which is a whole lot of pumping supplies. This includes my pump, two sets of the whatever-you-call-thems that you actually place on the "girls" to pump out the milk, something like 20 bottles and probably 80 plastic storage bags. I wonder if any woman would buy this stuff at a garage sale? And what should I charge for all this stuff if someone might buy it?
  • I am done having babies, but I still get a little jealous when I hear a friend say she's planning to have one more.
  • Perhaps I am a little self-involved here. See the "I" "I" "I" starting all the previous bullets. This is a demonstration of how vain us bloggers are.
  • My son refers to the addition as the "ca-dition." It makes me smile every time he says it.
  • I went shopping last weekend and actually bought myself some clothes.
  • Look at that. Just went right back to me.
  • There are only 4 days left that I have a first-grader. It makes me both proud and sad.
  • Sometimes I wish I had told no one about this blog.
  • Summer generally improves my mood. The last few days I have been on a roller-coaster of moods. It has been rainy and icky all weekend. Maybe that is the problem. Maybe.
  • Worry is a standard state for me.
  • It is strange to think that only have a first-grader for 3 more days after today.
  • Seriously. How did I go from having one baby girl to almost having a second-grader?
  • I'm eating lunch today with my first-grader-almost-second-grader. I am prepared to open a lot of lunch things. I think I will be sad when I go to eat lunch and no one needs help anymore.
  • This summer is going to go way too fast.

I also wish (sometimes) that I'd never told anyone about my blog.

How fun to do some shopping for yourself. I think it's OK to do that, blog about it *and* tell other people about it! ;)

Was just wondering today, myself, about where the time goes and how babies grow up so fast.

lol my blog is so all about ME! And the kids sort of. It has been my escape and I have so longed for a place that not everyone knows but I am so too lazy to start over again.
