Truth be told I knew it was coming. I mentioned it to my mom on Sunday that I felt weird, a little crampy, and I wouldn’t be surprised if my hiatus from “the curse” would be coming to an end. But the days went on as usual, me nursing the baby, cavalierly using the bathroom without thought of grabbing any feminine products from the cabinet.
I was sitting in a baby ECFE class yesterday afternoon when I felt the mostly unmistakable moisture. I was, in fact, in denial and ignored the sensation. Baby D and I met 8 new mommies and 8 new babies. Things were going pretty well. My Dad was babysitting the K Man, M was at school (Spring picture day or as I like to call it –extortion day…but don’t fear! No money is collected today! We wait until we take the photos of your adorable child and send them to you and then let you try to explain to your kid why you don’t want to keep these precious photos of them. Yeah go ahead and try that one. Sometimes it would be good to have an ugly kid…just saying.) However, during the class there was some oozing.
Following the class I debated whether I’d have enough time to gather my son from visiting with his Boppa and making it to pick up Miss M and just skipping the whole leaving Boppa drama and just going to pick M up at school. Once D was secured in the car and we were ready to go it was obvious to me that I would not have time to go home to relieve my dad from babysitting his third-in-line grandson. This decision resulted in sitting in the car line for an extra 20 minutes but in reality I knew I’d never have made it home and readied the boy before we’d have had to leave.
Long story shorter, I realized once I was home for a few moments before the swimming lesson that my hiatus from the womanly cycle—a glorious seventeen months—had come to an end. Frankly I’m a little surprised at its return since Ms. D still nurses quite often.
But lucky me, I get to have pads on my chest and in my crotch. Good times.

Ah yes, good times. My sympathies!
Congratulations! (haha) you're lucky- I think I barely made it one month with my two adorable ones.
Yup best part of nursing and being pregnant is not having a period! I get a two year freedom card one last time :)
Hope you feel better :)
We have really bad timing in common... I got mine the day before I left for Blissdom. Sigh.
Great post... I laughed, I cried, I ran away...
