I also started doing the rhythm boxing, which is kind of fun too. I would not be exercising as much without the Wii Fit, I know that. I don't know how useful it is for people who already exercise regularly, but for couch-potato-video-game-likers like me, it works. It's a good starting point. Who knows? Maybe this Spring I will want to start running outside in the real world.
I am trying to push myself. I am. I need to be a healthy weight again. I don't like to hear my kids tell me I'm fat. They're not stupid. They don't know the etiquette of not telling the fat chick that she's fat. They're right though. But now they can see that Mommy is trying to change things... and that is something that I can be proud of.
My results: I lost 2 pounds! Yippee.
So, me me me me me. Talk about myself much?
How did you all do this week? Are you happy with the effort you put into changing your habits? Let's face it. It's work. We have to want this, and badly, to put in the effort. I'm willing to bet that if we put in the work, we will think it is worth it in the end...what do you think?
Remember, Harper Collins has donated two books for our prize this week! Leave a comment with your results (weight lost/gained/no change and percentage) and you'll be entered to win. This week's prize is worth more than $40! You need to weigh in at least 10 times during the 14 week challenge to qualify for the grand prize as well. (Courtesy of Workouts Anywhere).

Well, this week I kept up on my walking- but, no results in the weight department. I stayed the same- I feel better,so that's a plus-- Amma
I, too, had little results. I worked out 6 days this week, running every other day for 25 minutes, and lost only 1/2 pound. :(
It sounds crazy, but I think I need to eat MORE to get my metabolism going...we'll see what extra fruit does to me next week.
Just a note about the running Heather -- don't worry too much about the miles. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but you'd really have to be sprinting to run a 5 minute mile. A 9-10 minute mile is a pretty fast clip. I only tell you this because I don't want you to be disappointed if you run a treadmill or marked track. I think it's great that you're running. I find it to be excruciating, but I do it because it is the one type of exercise that seemed to change my body the most drastically. So keep it up my friend, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you had good results this week.
That's awesome Heather! Congratulations!
This is the first time I've managed to actually come and post my weight loss, but I *have* been working out and dieting.
This week I only lost 1 pound, bring my total lost since we started to 3 pounds. That's 1.3% lost. :)
Keep up the great work everybody!
1 pound for me! I think that's because I got a haircut.
I didn't do too hot this week, worked out twice and wasn't really watching what I was eating as good as I was doing the previous weeks, which resulted in gaining 1 ib, I think after this week I'l be back on track with everything.
On the positive side I'm still doing pretty good on the no having pop part. :)
This week I haven't done good, and it's all my fault and poor choices that I made. Next week will be different. :)
This week I gained 1 pound.
Everyone is doing great!!!
Way to go!
