Santa letter revisited

Miss M: Mommy, let's read my letter to Santa again.

me: Okay. (get letter out)

M: Read it Mommy.

me: You read it to me.

M: Dear Santa, I want a ski boat, a radio and a tool box.

me: What kind of ski boat are you asking Santa to bring?

M: One that you can ski behind, on the water.

me: Oh. Do you think Santa has enough money to buy something big like that when he has to give presents to all the kids all over the world?

M: (nodding confidently) Oh yes.

me: I don't know about that. What if Santa gets you a toy ski boat instead?

M: I don't care.

me: So that would be okay with you?

M: Yeah, that would be good too.

(WHEW!)
