An Indication of Sorts

The other day, Ms. D was taking a shower with me (as she insists on doing more often than not). We completed the routine, washing hair, washing bodies etc. When we stepped out of the shower and grabbed our towels D had something she needed to do. We could hear her older siblings bickering downstairs. D heard them, looked at me, shook her head and told me: Hold on a minute. She went to the door, opened it, stood at the top of the stairs and shouted: Hey you two, quit your fighting! She closed the door again with an emphatic sigh and groan. I had to tease her: Did you tell them to knock it off? She sighed again, shook her head and headed back to the door. Knock it off! she shouted. Then she closed the door again, satisfied she'd done her duty.
