I'm still thinking of those simple joys. And I said at first that I didn't want to use my kids as the joys, but this week I am. My prerogative I suppose.
We went to the zoo last week. My favorite part every summer is the butterfly garden. What makes it even better? Watching the wonder of my kids.

Especially watching the wonder of a little boy who holds a butterfly (sort of). These creatures captivated all of my children.

Yet more wonder. Ms. D was positively enthralled with the fish in the tropical exhibit.

And Miss M disappeared half-way through our visit. Then there was a giraffe following us everywhere. It was sort of weird, but it was a beautiful giraffe.

Are you still celebrating? Anyone else care to join in the love and the fun?

Sounds like you had a lovely time with your kids! It's nice to hear how much they love and appreciate the animal kingdom.
It was a bugger of a week, but I did have a few simple joys.
Ooo what a wonderful zoo you have! The look on Ms D's face is awesome!
Love the face painting too! Wow he must have held really still to get the butterfly to land!

Very easy to put the kids in the joy category! What a great zoo.
