Simply Joy Sunday #7

I can't be the only one who is flabbergasted that it is March already right? I mean I knew that time seemed to go faster the older you get but wow. In less than 3 months my baby will be one year old. In less than 5 months my son will start Kindergarten and my oldest baby will be in 2nd grade, and yet in many ways I feel like I am still that young bride (maybe not so young, but young compared to today).

Time to celebrate the little things in life that bring joy! This week I am celebrating two of my bloggie friends who recently sent me presents. This blog world is very strange to people who are not a part of it, but I have found some very nice people who have picked me up when I could use a boost time and time again.

So thanks to Damselfly whose package arrived on Friday when I was feeling under the weather and the Baby was sick and life was not so sunny. She sent this cute outfit for the baby (and a head band too that I'm realizing I forgot to put in the photo). Isn't it cute? I love it.

And Damselfly is so sweet that she even sent things for my other kids. She sent K a little Lightening McQueen car which he took and I could not find for a photo so that must mean it was a hit. She sent M these adorable hair clips. Can you see what they are? Little zebras! Clever woman!

Damselfly told me that I didn't need to blog about these wonderful and totally unexpected gifts, but seriously, how could I not? Thank you so much. You really made our day.

The second friend I'd like to say thanks to is Gunfighter. I met Gunfighter when we were paired for a blog exchange a few years ago and I've always admired the beautiful rosaries that he makes. A few weeks ago he sent me 2 rosaries. One for me to keep and one for me to give away. That's right friends, you will have an opportunity to win a beautiful rosary hand-made by Gunfighter. (probably this week stay tuned!)

This is the one I decided to keep. Isn't it gorgeous?

So now it's your turn. What are the little things that you celebrate in your life? Blog about them (don't forget to link back here!) and I'll link you up.

You can participate if you don't have a blog too, just tell me in the comments!

Feeling the joy!

I love this series of posts that you do!! I saw Amanda at MrsDragon start doing it and that led me to you. I hope you don't mind, but I love it so much that I did a post of my own today on this topic.

Ah! You blogged about your gifties! Ah well, I'm so glad you and the kids are enjoying them. :)

My SJS post will be up soon.

I'm always marveled at the kindness of people who are, at the core, strangers to us, but whom we've forged really unique bonds with just through the benefit of putting some words out into the world. Such beautiful things you received, and from such thoughtful people.

I think for me, this week, the little thing I'm most thankful for is watching my two sons play basketball yesterday. One is just learning the game and how to play as part of a team, and the other is a marvel to see how he's taken to something he loves so much. I love watching them on the court.

Then I love coming home and finishing book so I can start another!

What nice gifts! Honestly, I've met the nicest, most thoughtful people through blogging. Isn't it great?

That cupcake shirt is absolutely adorable! And clever zebra clips! How nice of her to do that.

And yes, this year is whizzing by! Can't believe it's March already. One of the little things I get joy out of is the first day of spring -- which will be here soon! I can't wait to start gardening again.
