- I found out at the baby's 9-month well-child visit yesterday that she is cutting 8 teeth at once, which explains why she's been waking up so much at night. And also? Teething kind of stinks. For the baby and for the parents.
- I also discovered that she is even more of a peanut than I thought. Her weight places her in the 6th percentile, which, considering my other 2 children were in the 90th-plus percentiles for their weights all the time, is pretty teeny.
- I'm mostly not concerned that she is so little since her doctor is not concerned, however the doctor wants to have another examination at 12 months when she usually would not see her.
- It does make me wonder how kids could be so drastically different.
- Miss M's surgery is in less than a week. She seems fine but I am getting nervous for her. I don't want my baby to hurt.
- I think she is growing into such a beautiful person, inside and out.
- My son talks nonstop. For the most part this should be a good thing because it shows he is a happy boy but it often irritates me. Mostly because I'm cranky from lack of sleep. (see baby teething)
- I haven't made cards or posted any new listings at Sentimental Journey in a while. Have just not had the time. Ugh.
- It is snowing today and that makes me cranky.
- I realized last night that with M's surgery then her school break she will be home (out of school) for almost 5 weeks.
- I have stocked up on crafts and bought some new movies for the recovery period. I'm pretty sure my son will go completely stir crazy.
- I got a new pair of black dress pants yesterday. Clothes! For me! Oh the novelty.
- I have a new post at Midwest Parents today. Please go read!

Eight teeth at once?! Wow! Hope there's some relief from those imminent. Also hope Miss M's surgery goes off well and she gets relief, too. I can definitely understand why you feel so tired.
You must be exhausted.
It is going to sound crazy but a friend of mine recommended Amber teething necklaces (I am sure someone on etsy sells them) for teething. The amber has a very calming effect on the wearer ... worth a try?!?! oi! 8 teeth!
And I thought it was bad when mine cut 2 teeth at once. You poor lady!
Wow, mine is only cutting them two at a time! Do they drool even more when they're cutting more at once?!!
I have a pretty exhaustive (if I do say so myself) list of natural teething remedies and mama tips up on my blawg. Some stuff on weight issues too if you're interested.
And those are some pretty seriously cute pictures of your little girl!
Good luck with the teething!
Hurray for your new pants! Go you.
I totally relate to the teething, ugh. Fly teethed almost constantly from 3 months until about 20 months. Then he was done, molars and all. Teething is really tough.
Eight teeth at once? The poor thing. And poor you! Congrats on your new pants ... I haven't bought clothes for myself in the longest time. I'm quite sure I walk around looking like a slob.
