So I got her this:
I got three plastic boxes to put her various notebooks and pens in, and the box at the bottom for her many, many papers that she accumulates.
Since her dad put the desk together last night she's been up there in her room quite often, music playing on her CD player and happily crafting away. And so far the stuff has been put back where it belongs, in the boxes. Promising.
Now if only her mom could get organized. You don't even want to see MY crafting/scrapping table. Or maybe the more accurate words are you CAN'T see it under all the stuff.

Great idea! A desk seems so grown up, doesn't it?
What a good idea! Sadly I have a desk and my table still get covered with my papers.
awww how grown up!!! What a fabulous place to call her own!
I would love that too!!! And yes, why is it so easy to organize our kids, but not us?
I forget how much they treasure space for themselves and things suited to their needs. We just redid our huge family room. You have inspired me to create a center for Briar. Now, if I can just keep Avery from tagging the walls...
