What percentage of the times people type LOL are they actually laughing out loud?

Maybe you need to invent some new ones like CL (courtesy laugh) or JALS (just a little snicker) or ISILBIRN (I say I'm laughing but I'm really not). :)
Does the insane clown-posse never-ending laughter that has been in my head since giving birth count?
I'm thinking not very damn often but I appreciate when someone tells says it anyway - at least they're TRYING to find me funny...
LOL always makes me feel disingenuous because, when I'm alone, I usually just laugh in my head.
LOL for me probably means *BIG CHEESY GRIN* and I am one of those people who smile alot, so I probably get on people's nerves with my LOL's :)
I'm thinking it's probably only like 20%. Or less.
