M had choir practice tonight. Craig had a dentist appointment, but was then going to meet me and take K home with him. So, K and I dropped M at the church then drove to the dollar store to wait for Craig in the parking lot.
K was his usual chatterbox self. He repeats things 4000 times until I am ready to gouge my eardrums, then he'll smile sweetly and say "I love you Mommy!"
I was heading to the dollar store to pick up some more envelopes in anticipation of the many orders I will get for my cards. (By the way I've sold ONE already! Yippee!)
After Craig picked up K and my shopping was done I headed back to the church.
M was more talkative than she usually is after choir practice. She's had a rough few days with being sick (both ears infected when Craig took her to the doctor last Saturday) and must be starting to feel a little better. Or maybe she just had a lot to say.
Then, as we were going home I noticed the moon. "Look at the moon M!" I told her.
"Oh, it's so pretty. It's orange mom." (This was at sunset, not the eclipse.)
"Yeah," I said. "How do you think it got that way?"
"Oh I know," she replied confidently. "It's from the refridgerator."
"Oh yeah?" The smile was wide that broke across my face. "You think it might be the light reflected from the sun?"
"Yeah. That's it," she confirmed, totally unfazed by the correction.

That's so cute! That's the type of story I would mean to write down in my kids' baby books, but would forgot. Thank goodness for blogs!
