Diversity?

I watched my son catapulting his body from the ground into a pit of foam cubes and laughed. He’s nothing if not exuberant about his play. When he’s not driving me insane, he really is fun to watch. His zest for life is apparent, and contagious.

I could vaguely recognize that the other parent spectators of the gymnastic birthday party were discussing Kindergarten options. Our kids are 3 or 4 years old, so it seems like a strange topic at this party so I tune in a little more.

We’re supposed to send B to that ghetto school, I can’t think of what it’s called.

Oh, Longfellow.

Ghetto school?

What did I think of this? Follow me to find out!

Yikes - that's bad. People just don't think about what comes out of their month sometimes...

I probably would have shot back something about it not being any worse than the elitist school in the district that is producing Stepford children with no capacity for creative thought or critical thinking. But then, I'm an unrepentant bitch.

I have been a bad blog visitor. I have no idea how long it's been, but despite how it will incriminate me, I have to tell you how much I love the new pictures!

OH MY! It is interesting to see where families send their kids - public, parochial or private schools (funny how they all start with p). Our kids are at a, ahem, "working class" school and we love it. The teachers are awesome and they're getting great attention.
