Which is correct?

All of A sudden...
or
All of THE sudden...?

Because it really bugs me when I see the one that I think is incorrect. So I hope that I use the right one!

Thank you Angi! I was hoping someone would do the research for me! I bookmarked the site so I have a reference when I start to doubt myself again.

I saw "all of the sudden" in a book I was reading and I started to think that maybe I was wrong thinking that it was supposed to be "all of a sudden!"

Oh goodness... When someone says, "All of the sudden", it makes my fillings hurt.

You know, I don't think I had ever thought about it before. That's not saying much!

Mama cookie's comment cracked me up. I've never heard someone describe having their fillings hurt.

Definitely "all of A sudden".

Are you bugged by "definately"?
