I'm thinking it's a good thing that we don't live in the Twin Cities.
As we approached the bridge, on our way to visit the in-laws, to cross the Mississippi, my heart began to race. My body tensed and I even shuddered twice.
In short, I had a mini anxiety-attack because we were crossing the Mississippi on a bridge in the Twin Cities.
Shortly after we crossed, Miss M commented Can't we go see the broken bridge? Obviously she understood a lot more about the bridge collapse than I gave her credit for. She knew we were near it and she wanted to go see it for herself. We didn't go, and she was upset with us for that.

At my in-laws, I have the usual stuff that bugs me.
Showers that have a hot and cold faucet. Turn it....too hot, too hot, too hot, now too cold...too cold, too cold, too hot, too cold. Argh.
Here' s some crap that we don't want anymore. We have waaaayyy too much crap in our house and naturally assumed that you would love some more crap for your house. You're welcome. This includes dolls that, my Mother-in-Law literally said to me at one point "I have too much crap in my house so I thought I'd give these to the kids." Thanks. Have you seen our house? I think our crap quota has been reached.
This visit we brought home 4 boxes of generic Honey Nut O's. My Father-in-Law thought he'd eat 2 bowls a day to lose weight and apparently decided that it was a crappy idea...lucky us, we get the leftovers. At least the kids seem to like the cereal.
Also we inherited a computer camera and microphone. I have no idea what to do with either, but we have them, should a need arise.
------------------------------------
We went out on the pontoon to fish for apparently non-existent fish. I took pictures instead and played the overanxious Mom instead of fishing. Apparently I am becoming more tense with age. WTF?

Happy Labor Day.

I don't blame you! I'm not too sure I want to drive a car over a bridge anytime soon...
Seriously what's up with passing on clutter? If you think it's junk, why on earth would I want it?
LOL -- my MIL always gives my husband a box full of books almost everytime we see him. And like I need another box of dusty old books...
What a crappy paragraph that was. ;) I totally relate because we always seem to be the family's crap repository. Sometimes, though, it's good crap.
We used to joke that we shouldn't go to my folk's house with a full trunk because we wouldn't have enough room to bring back the extra stuff they give us when we're there. :-)
awww It sucks to have that kind of anxiety!
One of the many bonuses living so far from family. .. .Not getting their leftovers!
I think I get more anxious with age too....at least in things with the kids. Maybe it's normal??
