So cute! I like how the dress serves to compare how she's grown from one year to the next! I've never seen that done before ... I'll have to share this with some of my blog friends who just had babies!

Oh my goodness - that is the sweetest series of birthday shots I've ever seen. (I've seen people pose the birthday kid next to the same spot, or next to a stuffed animal... but doing the dress and the tree is so cool!)
You've got to tell us though - what size is that dress? And is it a meaningful, like heirloom, dress, or just one you picked up on that first birthday and thought, hey this will work!? Inquiring minds want to know! :)
It's an outfit (skorts) that I had and wore as a young adult. Women's medium.
Thanks, I saw the idea on some talk show (probably Oprah or something like that) that a mom did that with her daughter and thought it was a great idea. M was an infant when I saw the idea so I was able to start doing it on her first birthday!
How cool that you have put her in the same dress every year and planted a tree! That is brilliant! And those photos are terrific. She looks so big in each one.

What a great idea to have her pose in the same dress each year - tangible evidence of how big and beautiful she has grown!
Happy birthday to her.

How great to see how she has grown over time. Leaving all the other elements "constant" is a great idea.
What a great sequence! You are a very forward thinking mother!
Some of the trees that I have planted as a teenager have now grown to nearly 40ft which is pleasing.
This is my best WW entry for this week!
OHmygosh! How did you think to do that?
Happy birthday! If memory serves, then this is the day you became a mama!! Congratulations to the whole crowd. Love the dress idea!
